Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about the wedding day.

What’s the dress code?

Garden Formal! Think weather-conscious evening wear, and shoes that can tolerate walking on grass. Weather permitting, the ceremony and dinner will be held outside. October in Virginia is hard to predict temperature-wise; it could be anywhere from 60-90 degrees. We respectfully ask that you avoid wearing white. The bridal party will be wearing a deep wine red color.

Are my kids invited?

We love your kids, but due to space limitations, we’ve made the decision to only invite children that are in our family. We appreciate you finding childcare for the evening, and hope we can provide a worthwhile date night!

Do I have a plus one?

Your invitation should indicate which individuals are invited.

Where should I stay?

We do not have a dedicated room block. The venue is approximately 20 minutes from downtown Richmond, so some guests may prefer to stay downtown and explore the city, while others may prefer to be as close to the venue as possible. Visit the Travel & Lodging page for hotel recommendations.

Is there parking?

Yes! There is a parking lot adjacent to the property.

Is the venue accessible if I have mobility limitations?

The property is a historic home, so the primary entrances have stairs, but there is a ramp on the side of the building that will be used by the caterers, and they are aware that some guests may need to use that entrance.

Will dinner accommodate my dietary restrictions?

Dinner will consist of a Mediterranean-inspired buffet. It will naturally have ample vegetarian, vegan, dairy, and gluten-free options, but please indicate any dietary restrictions when you RSVP so we can ensure we have our bases covered.

When does the party end?

In our hearts, the party never ends. According to the venue, our event ends at 9pm.

Are you changing your name?

Neither the bride nor the groom will be legally changing their names, but both will answer to Mr. & Mrs. Sundberg, Mr. & Mrs. Woehrle, or Mr. & Mrs. Swoehrleberg. (Note from Eric: or so Hannah insists.)
